Alex

Hello, my name is Alex. I am 13 years old and I am in the eighth grade. This is my first year in the junior bomb squad.

Brianna

Brianna

Hi, my name is Brianna. I’m an 8th grader at Mountain Home Junior High. This year is my first season in not just the Junior Bomb Squad, but a FIRST robotics team. I decided to join the Junior Bomb Squad because of how much I knew I would learn from this team. I really am glad I did and hope that the things I learned here stick with me later on in life.

Emma

Emma

Hi, my name is Emma. I am in the 8th grade. I joined robotics because I love math and I thought engineering was interesting. I also have liked programming since 6th grade when we did Hour of Code in EAST.

Eric

Eric

Hello! My name is Eric. I am in the 9th grade at Mountain Home Junior High School. I was on a FLL team called The Mountain Home Fire Tigers for 4 years and had the privilege to go to California two times and had the chance to go to Australia our fourth year because we won first place in the state championship and had first pick but decided to go to legoland California so the new kids could experience it. I was on the Junior Bomb Squad last year and chose to come back because I wanted to become better at mechanics so that I would be more experienced at engineering.

Ian

Ian

Hello, my name is Ian. I am 13 years old and in the 8th grade. This is my first year in the Junior Bomb squad. I had no experience with FIRST until this year, and i have a major interest in engineering, especially in Auto Mechanics. I also play video games a lot.

Timothy

Timothy

Hi my name is Timothy I’m 13 and in 7th grade. I am homeschooled and my favorite subject is math. I have been building and putting things together for as long as I can remember. I have done lego league for two years with the Misfits team. I joined FTC because I wanted to learn more about engineering.

Trent

Trent

My name is Trent. I am 13 years old and I am an 8th grader at Mountain Home Junior High. I am responsible kid and a very hard worker. I am a straight A student and have future goals of going into the engineering field. My main strengths in school are math and science. My experience in First Robotics started when I was 9 years old and in the 4th grade with my first FLL team. I was on the Lego Krafterz for 2 years, the Razorbots team for one year, and the Misfits for one year. I was on a FLL team for 4 years. This is my first year with a FTC team making this my fifth year in First Robotics. First Robotics has helped me become more responsible, better teammate, built my confidence and help me gain some leadership skills. I hope to become a member of the Bomb Squad FRC team in Mountain Home in the future.

Mentors:

Andy Marts

Mr. Marts

I became interested in electronics and engineering in the 6th grade. I have a degree in electrical engineering and have worked for Baxter Healthcare for 34 years. I mentor FIRST teams to show students math, science, and yes, even English are used in all facets of technological careers. Hopefully I can affect a student's outlook on school and provide the vision of a pathway to be successful in a technological career.

Greg Davis

Greg

Hello, my name is Greg Davis. I am 40 years old. For the past 22 years I have been self employed doing custom woodworking here in the Mtn. Home area. This will be my 6th year coaching or mentoring with the First organization. This is my 2nd year with the FTC division, but I have worked with FLL teams for 4 years previously. I love the First program because it provides such a wide variety of educational opportunities to the kids (and myself as a coach). Over the past 6 years I have enjoyed watching the kids figure out that application of math and science can be fun and challenging; but VERY rewarding at the same time.
