Addison

Hello my name is Addison, I am 13 and in the 8th grade. I was on a FTC team 11108 two years ago prior to this year. I really enjoy being apart of this team because I love engineering and machining parts. I was the operator both years I was on team 11108.

Callista

Callista

Hi, my name is Callista, I am 14 and in the 9th grade. I was in FLL for two years prior to this. But, this is my first year on the FTC team. I wanted to join FTC because I really enjoyed robotics. I’ve been interested in engineering since I was a kid, mainly because my Step-Dad is a mechanic.

Devin

Devin

Hi my name is Devin , I am 14 and in the 8th grade. This is my first year on any robotic team. I joined the FTC team because I loved building different things and thought it would take me farther then I would by myself.

Kate

Kate

Hello, my name is Kate, I’m 14 and in the 9th grade. I did FLL for three years prior to this, but this is my first year on a FTC team. I joined the FTC team because my brother was on it last year and said it was a good experience.

Maggie

Maggie

Hello, My name is Maggie I’m 13 and in the 8th grade and this is my first year on a FTC team but not my first time on a FIRST team. I was on a FLL team for four years before this. The main reason I wanted to be on a FTC team was because my dad mentored for a FRC team and I was always interested in it.

Olivia

Olivia

Mentors:

Andy Marts

Mr. Marts

I became interested in electronics and engineering in the 6th grade. I have a degree in electrical engineering and have worked for Baxter Healthcare for 35 years. I mentor FIRST teams to show students math, science, and yes, even English are used in all facets of technological careers. Hopefully I can affect a student's outlook on school and provide the vision of a pathway to be successful in a technological career.

Greg Davis

Greg

Hello, my name is Greg Davis. I am 41 years old. For the past 23 years I have been self employed doing custom woodworking here in the Mtn. Home area. This will be my 7th year coaching or mentoring with the First organization. This is my 3rd year with the FTC division, but I have worked with FLL teams for 5 years previously. I love the First program because it provides such a wide variety of educational opportunities to the kids (and myself as a coach). Over the past 7 years I have enjoyed watching the kids figure out that application of math and science can be fun and challenging; but VERY rewarding at the same time.

Matt Martin

Matt

Hello I am Matt Martin. I am 37 years old and have coached or mentored FLL and FRC for the past 3 years. This is my first year helping FTC. I started helping when my daughter started FLL. Now I am hooked and see myself helping at least one team for many years.
