Eric

My name is Eric. I am in the 8th grade at Mountain Home Junior High School. I was on a FLL team called the Mountain Home Fire Tigers for 4 years and had the privelage to go to California two times. I chose to come to FTC because I wanted to become better at mechanics so that I would be more expert at engineering.

John Carl

John Carl

Hello! My name is John-Carl. I’m in the 9th grade attending Mountain Home Junior High. I have one year of experience on team 92, the Junior Bomb Squad. Last year, I was mainly a part of the programming team, along with being an operator on drive team. I was inspired to join FTC by my sister, who has four years on FTC/FRC. I’m hoping FIRST will help me advance my career, as I am interested in space, nuclear technology, clean energy, and advancing science as we know it.

Matthew

Matthew

Hello! My name is Matthew and I am going to Mountain Home Junior High School. I am thirteen and in the ninth grade. This is the first year I’ve been on a FIRST robotics team and I intend on being on other teams in the future. I joined FTC because I believe it will open doors for me when the time comes to apply for college.

Sophia

Sophia

Hello my name is Sophia. I am fifteen years old and in the ninth grade at Mountain Home Junior High School. I was on the Junior Bomb Squad last year. I chose to come back because I wanted to continue learning about the engineering process. I loved FTC last year and intend to do the best I can this year.

Tony

Tony

Hello, my name is Tony. I am thirteen years old and am enrolled in Mountain Home Junior High School. The reason I joined FTC is because I have grown up around construction and engineering, and I have always had a fascination for robots. When I heard about The Junior Bomb Squad I immediately joined. Ever since I have loved it and I want to be in robotics the rest of my school years.

Andy Marts

Mr. Marts

I became interested in electronics and engineering in the 6th grade. I have a degree in electrical engineering and have worked for Baxter Healthcare for 33 years. I mentor FIRST teams to show students math, science, and yes, even English are used in all facets of technological careers. Hopefully I can affect a student's outlook on school and provide the vision of a pathway to be successful in a technological career.

Greg Davis

Greg

Hello, my name is Greg Davis. I am 39 years old. For the past 21 years I have been self employed doing custom woodworking here in the Mtn. Home area. This will be my 5th year coaching or mentoring with the First organization. This is my 1st year with the FTC division, but I have worked with FLL teams for the past 4 years. I love the First program because it provides such a wide variety of educational opportunities to the kids (and myself as a coach). Over the past 5 years I have enjoyed watching the kids figure out that application of math and science can be fun and challenging; but VERY rewarding at the same time.
