Hi! I’m Caleb Jenkins and I am in 8th grade. I heard about bomb squad from my cousin and became interested in it immediately. I am interested in the engineering and programing aspect of the program. I hope that being in bomb squad helps me out in school and my ways of thinking. My goal is to further my knowledge in the engineering world. |

Salutations! My name is Hannah Plumlee, and I am a freshman. This is my second year on the Junior Bomb Squad, and I have absolutely loved working with the team. I have gained a basic foundation in engineering, and I am constantly learning everyday skills that will help me achieve my career goals. Being a part of FTC is a unique experience that I am lucky to have taken part in. I plan on becoming a mechanical engineer, and I will stay in Bomb Squad and the FIRST program all throughout my education at Mountain Home High School.

Hi! My name is Logan and I’ve been involved in FIRST for four years now. It all started when I went to my friend’s FLL competition. I was instantly interested and later that year, the same friend proposed that we make our own FLL team. The first year we competed we got second place in state and won several awards. When we competed the next year we won and competed in the world competition. Although we didn’t win we learned a lot from other teams. I have been on the junior bomb squad for two years now and I expect to use the skills I learned here in engineering later in life

Why hello there! The name I am known by is Rowan Laidler. I am 13, and in the grade known as 8th. I am on the Junior Bomb Squad, our local Robotics team. This is my first year being on the team and I enjoy being on it. I heard about the program from a former member, as well as church. The team leader always acknowledged the High School team winning certain awards. I got interested in joining because I liked to take apart and build things in my free time. I am one of the designated Programmers on the team. I think I will benefit from learning how to program, because one of my career choices is working with computers.

I became interested in electronics
and engineering in the 6th grade. I have a degree in electrical engineering
and have worked for Baxter Healthcare for 30 years. I mentor FIRST teams to
show students math, science, and yes, even English are used in all facets of
technological careers. Hopefully I can affect a student's outlook on school
and provide the vision of a pathway to be successful in a
technological career.

My name is Bryan Plumlee. This is my first year
mentoring an FTC team. I have been interested in both the physical
and biological sciences since I was young. I currently work at
Baxter Healthcare Corp where I have been for thirteen years. My
educational background is in the life sciences. Prior to joining
Baxter I worked in Biotechnology R and D. I am very impressed with the
FTC program as it provides applier engineering experience to the
students. Throughout the season the team learns problem-solving,
brainstorming, project planning, and teamwork that will benefit them
later in life whether they go into science/engineering or any other
discipline.

Hi, my name is Courtney. I am a mentor for team
92 this year. I am in 10th grade and on the FRC Bomb Squad at the High
School. I joined robotics because it seemed fun, and I was not
disappointed. After two years in Junior Bomb Squad, I decided that being
an engineer was what I wanted to do with my life. I felt that robotics
would help me to achieve my goal, and so far, it has.
