Alexis Watts

Hi, my name is Alexis Watts and I am in ninth grade.  This is my first year on team 92 and I'm having a lot of fun.  I was really happy when I got to join.  I hope that i can join the Bomb Squad (FRC) when I go to the high school and be able to experience even more competitions and help build more robots.  Being on the team has inspired me to go on to college and get a job in the medical field.

Courtney Crawford

Hey, my name is Courtney Crawford and this is my second year on the Jr. Bomb Squad.  I am in the ninth grade and hope to be on the FRC team next year.  I joined robotics because it looked like it was fun.  But after my first year I decided that being an engineer was what I wanted to be when I got older, and robotics would help me for the working field I want to pursue.

Dylan Ryan

Hello, my name is Dylan Ryan and I'm on the Junior Bomb Squad.  I'm in the 8th grade.  I joined the team because I've been on a FLL team for two years and I really enjoy robotics.  I love building with my Lego sets.  I've built things such as an F-22 Raptor, Apache Longbow, a mini sub, etc.  My hobbies are drumming, video games, art, and working with computers.  In two years I will try to join the Bomb Squad (FRC).  I want to go to college and be some sort of doctor or a robot engineer.  I really love FIRST and the cool things I get to do.

John Taylor Novak

Hi, I'm John Taylor Novak and I'm in the 9th grade at the Mountain Home Junior High School.  I am planning to go to MIT to study robotics and I think FIRST will help me acquire the correct knowledge so I will be accepted.  I have been with robotics since I was five and have been affiliated to the Bomb Squad/Jr. Bomb Squad ever since.  Robotics has been my hobby for as long as I can remember.  It all began in 2002 during the FRC season when I went to the World Championships at Walt Disney World with the Bomb Squad and I haven't missed a competition since.  I was there in 2009 at the World Championships when the Junior Bomb Squad won the whole thing.  I began last year thinking it wouldn't be as cool as FRC, but I have been proven wrong because FTC robots tend ot have more moving parts, even though they are smaller.

Jonathan White

Hello, my name is Jonathan White and I’m in the 8th grade. I was in FLL for four years and I’ve gone to the World Championships in St. Louis Mo.  My sister was in Bomb Squad so now I want to do that too.   I joined FTC because of my past experience with robotics.   I hope to have a future career in Art or Engineering.

Vincent Cimino

Hi, my name is Vincent Cimino.  I am 14, in the 8th grade, and I'm interested with anything to do with computers.  I first took an interest in computers when I was three.  I was in Lego League for two years. I want to go to MIT to study computational engineering.  I believe FTC will be a step closer to fulfilling my dream.

Mentors:

Andy Marts

I became interested in electronics and engineering in the 6th grade. I have a degree in electrical engineering and have worked for Baxter Healthcare for 28 years. I mentor FIRST teams to show students math, science, and yes, even English are used in all facets of technological careers. Hopefully I can affect a student's outlook on school and provide the vision of a pathway to be successful in a technological career.
